In chapter thirty three, Bethany found out that the man that came to the door was actually the man who cloned her. She thinks that he did it to ruin her life.

In chapter thirty two, after the man left Joss decides to call Officer Bridgeman. After Bethany goes to bed Officer Bridgeman asks Joss if it is weird having Bethany around because she looks so much like Elizabeth.

chapter thirty one- Lauren

In chapter thirty one, it was Halloween and Bethany decides not to go trick- or- treating because she is afraid someone will recognize her as Elizabeth. When she opens the doors for the trick-or-treaters she recognize the same man from the car looking for Bethany's father.

In chapter thirty, Bethany looks up a bunch of different Walter's to see if she could find her father. Joss takes Bethany to see Elizabeth's tree that they planted when she died. 

chapter twenty nine- Lauren

In chapter twenty nine, Bethany and Joss read the letter sayig that the money was Elizabeth's college fund, but now it is Bethany's. Joss said that she would go back to her parents, but Bethany is worried that they would get hurt.

chapter twenty eight- Lauren

In chapter twenty eight, Bethany wakes up in the middle of the night, so her and Joss decide to watch the home videos together. The next morning, Joss and Bethany open a package with 1,000's of dollars in it, and a letter from her dad.

chapter twenty seven- Lauren

In chapter twenty seven, Officer Bridgeman gives Joss and Bethany a ride home. Joss said that she is not going back home, which made Bethany feel important... for once.

chapter twenty six- Lauren

In chapter twenty six, Bethany runs away and Joss comes to her rescue. When a man comes to them and asks if they want a ride Bethany was not scared about him asking, she was scared that he knew their names.

In chapter twenty five, Bethany starts freaking out saying that she is not a clone. When she tries to run away, she thinks she is just running away from herself.

Chapter twenty four- Lauren

Bethany gets a call from her mother asking for Elizabeth, thinking she is a live. She tells her that she will have a clone. An exact copy.

Chapter 23~Alyssa

In Chapter twenty-two, Bethany spends the day with Joss, her older cousin. They keep Elizabeth and her parents off limits and go to the park. When they return, they see Mrylie back from work with a bunch of paper work. They see that Bethany actually has more than one last name and was somehow born in more than one place. This is figured out through the many birth certificstes with her name on them. When she asks who she really is, no one answers.

Chapter 21~Alyssa

In this chapter of Double Identity, Myrlie, Joss, and Bethany are playing Uno Robo-Attack. They didn't talk at all about Elizabeth or the video untill Joss called Bethany Elizabeth by mistake. She tells her that they are very similar, which is true, yet differnt in peronalities, which was also true. Bethany was more quiet, while Elizabeth had been more amitious. Myrlie says that Elizabeth got that quality from her mother, who shared it with her, and Bethany tries to remember a time where her mother had shared it with her as well. Howver, she doesn't succeed. She leaves the room, knowing that the two are talking about her, but she doesn't mind.

Chapters 17-20

CHAPTER 17.
Myrlie asks Bethany if she can go to church while she stays home because it makes her feel better.Bethany's dad calls and tells Bethany that "everything has changed." Bethany becomes worried and isn't sure what that means.

CHAPTER 18.
Aunt Myrlie and Bethany prepare for Joss' arrival. While cleaning, Myrlie tells Bethany about the grandmother she never met. Joss arrives and when they are preparing dinner, she explains why she became a minister and what it was like growing up with Elizabeth.

CHAPTER 19.
Joss mentions that Elizabeth's last name is Krull and not Cole which makes Bethany confused. She wonders why they both have a different last name. Myrlie also didn't know she didn't have a different last name because her parents never told her.

CHAPTER 20.
Joss decides to show Bethany the personality profiles Elizabeth and she made. After few playful remarks between Joss and her mom, they start the tape. Bethany realizes how similar her and Elizabeth were.

Chapter 12-Srijan

Bethany's mom calls her and calls her "Elizabeth" and her mom dad takes the phone away and says Bethany's mom is hallucinating. Bethany heard the name Elizabeth before and knows he is lying. She tells her dad so, and He says he thought he would'nt have to tell her. He tells Myrlie to tell Bethany who Elzabeth is and Myrlie says Elizabeth was Bethany's sister, even though she is an only child.

Chapter 11-Srijan

Bethany is walking back to Myrlie's house thinking about the plaque and feeling sad aboout Mylries husband. As she walks past the house where Abraham Lincoln stayed at once. That brings more thoughts into her mind. She tries to watch movies on the tv, but her thuoghts keep wandering.

Chapter10-Srijan

While Myrlie is at the grocery store, Bethany sneaks out. She goes to the plaque that Myrlie said is dedicated to someone who died a while ago and finds out something amazing- that is Myrlie's husband's grave.

Chapter 9-Srijan

Bethany and Myrlie are fixing up lunch and Myrlie apologizes that she does'nt keep much food. She then offers to go to the grocery store to by some food for Bethany. So she the starts to make a list of food needed. She mentions some bluebbery muffins, cream and peaches oatmeal, and by now Bethany is confused and scared. She lies about her favorite cereal brand and is now uneasy.

Chapter 8-Alyssa

In chapter eight of the book, Bethany asks Myrlie about Elizabeth, but she refuses to tell her a thing, just as she promissed. Bethany has so little questions, and is very confused as to what is going on. She hears the phone ring a picks us hoping for her father to be on the other end, but he hangs-up. She tells herself not to cry and repeats that she is fierce, strong, and just swam two miles. After a short while of panicking, she collapsous onto the floor. Things just get harder and harder for Bethany because nothing adds-up. The only thing she can do now, it wonder.

Chapter 7-Alyssa

In chapter seven on this book, Bethany is swimming at the Y. When she's finished, Myrlie rushes her out of there. When they finaly approach the house, they silently sit there. After a while, Bethany desides that is was time for answers. She asked Myrlie who the women at the Y thought she looked like. In the previous chapter, we learned that the women said that Bethany looked like someone she knew, but Myrlie stopped her before she could continue.

chapter 6-alyssa

In chapter six of, Doubly Identity,Bethany insists on going swimming somewhere. Her aunt drives her to the Y where Bethany can have the aprotunity. She looks back on her first time swimming and soon, her mind starts wandering into who Elizabeth is. Bethany can't find the courage or effort to ask Myrlie. It just didn't seem right. Bethany considers everything. Maybe her parents dumped her with her aunt because of her ungreatfullness. Bethany tries to stay positive but it was something in her aunts voice that just made everything so odd between them. While in the car, Myrlie shows her the towns historical features, yet Bethany doesn't pay much attention, she still couldn't get Elizabeth, whoever she was, out of her mind.

Chapter 5-alyssa

In chapter five of Double Identity by Margret Peterson Haddix, the main character, Bethany over-hears a conversation that her "Aunt" Myrlie talk to Bethany's father about "Elizabeth." However, Bethany is completely bewildered as to who Elizabeth is and why it is such a big secret. She over-hears many things like Myrlie saying, "But I have to be so careful about what I say around Bethany...If you remember, I never was very good at keeping secrets. Or lying." The only thing left for Bethany to do is figure out who Elizabeth is.

Chapters 1-4 by Austin

 CHAPTER 1

The book starts out with Bethany, a twelve year old girl, and her parents driving to a mysterious location. Then when her dad stops the car, she sees him talking to a strange woman. She rolls down her window slightly and listens to their conversation. She hears them mention things like "Elizabeth" and "Bethany does...." Then, Bethany is introduced to aunt Myrlie and she learns that she will be staying with her for a while.

CHAPTER 2

Bethany's parents leave and she is still left confused and full of questions. She asks Myrlie is she could use the telephone and she says yes. She calls her father's cell phone multiple times, but each times it says the number is out of service. Worriedly, she decides to call the nationwide directory and ask for the listing for all of their family members, but it only tells her that there is no listing for those names.

CHAPTER 3

Before going to bed, Bethany looks back and remembers how over protective her parents were over her. They would always be with Bethany and go shopping with her and let her get what ever she wanted. She then wonders if this has anything to do with the fact that she was dropped off at her aunt's. She thinks things have changed and she was just in the way.

CHAPTER 4
Bethany wakes up and Myrlie makes her breakfast. She realizes whenever she asks Myrlie a question she doesn't complete her sentences, as if she's going to regret saying it. Then, the phone rings and it's Bethany's father. Bethany tells him that she's been calling him but he tells her not to and that he will call her instead. Myrlie takes the phone and talks with her father. Bethany leaves the room and then listens to their conversation through the kitchen door.
